Boys Championship

 

Local Boy does good - Tyler Davenport birdies his way to 1st place!

Tyler Davenport of Oceanside dominated his home course with an even par round of 56 to lead the field of 13 boys! His four birdie round was good for the big win! Second place went to Carlsbad's Cole Young (64) tie for third was Carlsbad's Ryan Shook (65) and Carmel Valley's Jack Avarello (65).

Short game comes through for Erik Delarosa of Oceanside!

Erik Delarosa and his father Richard figured out that in order to lower his son's scores he needed to work on his short game and his dad was correct! Erik's improved putting and chipping helped him to a score of (61) to capture first place in the NCJGA - May event. In second place was Carmel Valley's Justin Michal (65) third was Carlsbad's Alec Madison (69) and Oceanside's Jacob Turall (69). Fifteen boys teed it up!

 Noah Henderson of Solana Beach wins by 1!

Noah Henderson (69) was good for a one shot victory over his friend and foe Carlsbad's Ian Scheble (70). The boys were neck and neck Noah took the lead after 15 then Ian finished with a birdie on 18 to close the gap! Great playing boys!! In third was Escondido's Jonathan Mulvaney who medalled with a (76) along with Palm Dessert's Stone Van (76). Thank you to the parents who helped with scoring and being an observer on the golf course.

Girls Championship - Stacey Rayo improved play leads to victory!

Stacey Rayo of  (65) coming off a great round in San Diego Jr. Golf (finished tied 1st) stayed hot and bested her friend Tracey Huynh (67) rounding out the top 4 was Kennedy Gilbert (72) and Oceanside's Alyssa Waite (72). Nice to see new girls out teeing it up in the NCJGA events.

Girls 18 - Griffith goes on to win!

Paris shot a 83 to claim victory - runner up went to Celeste Romero (86) of Rancho Bernardo. Eight girls teed it up and all had a good time!

Boys / Girls 7 & Under - Crowe goes low!

Another local Oceanside boy makes good! Jonathan Crowe (40) was just good enough to get by Karah Sanford (42) of Escondido - Karah is thinking of switching caddies after this event!! In third was Frankie Lopez (44) of Temecula and  Jared Tran (46) of Carlsbad received a medal for his fourth place finish.

Thank you parents for helping with the event and being such great sports!!
