Muehlbauer Girls Rock Mallory - Aces #14 and wins girls 11-13
Mallory Muehlbauer of Vista scored a 67 with an ace on #14 for a 2 shot victory over Escondido's Mara Golder (69) was runner up and finishing third was Melody Muehlbauer (78) also medaling was Encinitas's Mollie McGinnis (80) and Celeste Romero (87) of Rancho Bernardo. Great to see many new girls from Coach Jacqui Nicoletti - McSorley's program at Encinitas Ranch GC. Thank you for playing and hope to see more girls in the future!
Alyssa Waite continues to win NCJGA events!
Oceanside's Alyssa Waite's (63) has another feather in her cap, not only is she adding trophies to her mantle but continues to improve - she is this year's Summer Sizzler Champion - runner up Carlsbad Ashley Stephens (74) of Carlsbad finishing third was Encinitas Katrina Uebelhor.
Haley Moore 62 is low score for NCJGA Summer Sizzler
Escondido's Haley Moore (62) was good for first place runner up was Jessica Pindiak (91) of Encinitas third place went to Elle Otten (93) of Carlsbad in fourth Carlsbad's April Hettinger.
Boys and Girls 7 & Under - Irvine's Connor O'Brien is victorious
Irvine's Connor O'Brien (34) made the trip down from Irvine and drove away with first place in second was Escondido's Karah Sanford (37) third one stroke back was Corona Del Mar's Zane Weaver (38) tie fourth Temecula's Frankie Lopez (39) and San Diego's Krando Nishiba (39).
Boys 14 - 17 is won by newcomer Joseph Fortunato of Ramona
Ramona's Joseph Fortunato (57) was good for first place in the Boys Championship Flight participating in his first NCJGA event his 1 under par was a new NCJGA record for the Lake San Marcos Executive golf course in second was Poway's Hayden Williamson (61) and in third Carlsbad's Cole Young (62). Six high school's were represented in this event!
Boys 11-13 Gold / Curtis Bee's wins another North County event
Vista's Curtis Bee (62) records another NCJGA victory - runner up was Casey Rebmann (65) of San Marcos the two were tied after 9 but Curtis prevailed with a 33 on the back 9! Fallbrook's Derek Deming (67) was good for third place also getting a medal was Oceanside's Erik Delarosa (68) and fifth went to Valley Center's Kamron Zarrabi (69).
Boys 11-13 Silver / Danny Miller of Valley Center gets first place
Valley Center's Danny Miller (69) was good for a first place trophy in the boys Silver Division runner up was a playoff between Poway's Mason Schultze (73) and Carlsbad's Christian Guerzon (73) with Mason winning on the first playoff hole Christian received the third place medal, fourth went to Las Vegas's Jacob Cortez (75).
Boys 8-10 Gold / Spencer Vierra wins the Summer Sizzler with 68
Poway's Spencer Vierra (68) nipped Solano Beach's Noah Henderson (69) by one shot they battled all day, finishing third was Escondido's D. Michael Mercado (71) fourth was Rancho Bernardo's Spencer Figuracion (81) and in fifth Carlsbad's AJ Vaughan (82).
Boys 8-10 Silver / Tommy Olah gets first victory in NCJGA
Tommy Olah (90) of Oceanside won his first NCJGA Championship, he was happy, tied for second Rancho Bernardo's Cole Giles (92) and Carlsbad's Jason Bennett (92) play off was won by Cole Giles. Jason Bennett recieved a 3rd place medal, fourth was Carlsbad's Matthew Otten (94) and finishing fifth Escondido's Pierce Cahill!
Thank you all for participating in the Summer Sizzler. This was a successfull event with the help of all the parent's and participates. A total of 64 boys and girls teed it up and had fun!
