Poway's Mason Schulze wins Christmas Classic - Boys 18 (11 - 12)
Poway's Mason Shulze fired a fine (71) for another victory this season - runner up was Encinita's Palmer Smith (77) Mason credited his victory to his family who supports his love of the game, also great to see Palmer earn a trophy, finishing third San Marcos's Joshua Pollard (85).
Sidney Cozier cruises to victory - Boys 18 (8 - 10)
San Marcos's Sidney Cozier front 9 (32) opened a big lead and he cruised home to victory - runner up Escondido's Kyle Maspat (76) and in third Lajolla's Julian Davis (79). Sidney's hard work on his short game has improved his scoring this year and next year he should enjoy continued success!
Monatna Kosty garners first win - Girls 18
Carlsbad's newcomer Montana Kosty (82) earned her first victory this season besting her good friend and high school teammate Ashley Stephens (88). Time spent on the range as of late has continued give Montana more confidence - hard to believe she has only been playing since July!! In third Vista's Meredith Jame Abragano.
Oaks Golf Course - Par 54 (27)
Ian Scheble of Solana Beach likes the Oaks Course! - Boys 18
Ian Scheble two victories this sesason have been at the Oaks golf course at the Welk Resort, Ian's (72) bettered runner up Ryan Huynh (79) of San Diego - earning a medal for third was Oceanside's Tommy Olah (87).
Diminutive Kathy Henderson gets first win - Girls 18
Oceanside's Kathy Henderson fired a (83) to earn the Christmas Classic first place trophy - tied for runner up Yubin Huh and Bonsal's Maggie Saunders.
Ryan Hartanto wins by one shot - Boys 7 & under (9 holes)
Ryan Hartanto (35) was just enough to get the win - tied for runner up (determined by a playoff) Frankie Lopez (36) (won on first playoff hole) over Riley Klingelberg(36) - Shane Stephens (38) and Jared Tran (46) earned medals!
Thank you to all the families who participated in the Christmas Classic, over 40 toys where donated to the Toys for Tots program this was the 7th annual event.
The NCJGA is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) corporation. The NCJGA provides opportunities for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels to learn the game of golf.
