Day 1 recap: play was halted after 9 holes because of rain, cold, and course being unplayable. It was raining cats and dogs out there!

Day 2 was fine and all players completed 18 holes as scheduled.

Oceanside's Scott Wyers wins Christmas Classic - College Division

Oceanside's Scott Wyers (37/73) who plays for Palomar College cruised to the victory. Scott has been working hard and looking forward to a great 09 season. Runner up Stephanie Cole (44/82) who play for Cal State San Marcos seemed to enjoy the day and will be expected to contribute to the Cougars this season.

Cole Reese like North County! - Boys High School

San Diego's Cole Reese (40/76) did not enjoy the cold first day (no rain gear) but warmed up on day two and was a one shot winner over Rancho Bernardo's Cody Ek (40/77) who seems to be coming into his own. Cole's simple swing seems to hold up and expect to see some low scores from him in 09! Brian Cole (40/82) of San Pasqual finished third.

LeMons nips Mena to capture title - Boys 18 (jr. high)

Jake LeMons (44/84) of Solana Beach just got by Escondido's Anthony Mena (42/87) Jakes back nine 42 being the difference - in third was Vista's Robby Mitchell (45/94). Jake credited his victory to the "team work" of his caddy and father!

Tyler Moore is oveall champ after shooting 1 under par - Boys 18

Escondido's Tyler Moore (34/72) is having one heck of a year and just seems to be getting better! His 35 in the driving rainstorm day 1 was impressive as was his 34 (2 under) back 9 on day two. What can one say? He drives it straight - can get up and down and can flat out roll  the rock! Finishing runner up was Rancho Santa Fe's Patrick Brown (44/79) with an impressive 79 on day two, third went to Brandon Michaels (45/82) of Encinitas.

Tracey Huynh ends season with Victory - Girls High School

San Diego's Tracey Huynh (45/83) with that great smile and simple move she can golf her ball she was a winner over Carlsbad's Meili Eubank (56/101) in third Vista's Meredith James - Abrajano.

Haley Moore birdies the last three holes - Girls 18

Haley's (42/74) was impressive in that she birdied the final three holes to beat up that Castle Creek Golf Course, her long straight driving should help her to many more tournament victories in the years to come, helped by coach and caddy Tom Moore they make a great team. Finishing second was Rancho Bernardo's Raquel Ek (42/87).
