Cole Reese is Champion - Boys Championship
El Cajons Cole Reese (147) is the NCJGA Thanksgiving Shoot Out Champion for 2008, his 75-72 was outstanding golf. Runner up was Carlsbad's Brian Wood (79-79=158) and finishing third, Escondido's Trent Broeckel (84-77=161). Also winning medals Mikey McKinnon (87-77=164) and Garet Johnson (86-82=168).
Annie McSorley goes low to win-Girls Championship
Annie McSorley fired a second round 2 under par 70 to capture the Thanksgiving Shoot Out her two day total of (87-72=157) was good for the win - Annie credited her Golf Professional "mom" and "caddie" - Jacqui for her support and continued encouragement! Runner up San Diego's Stacey Rayo (90-75=165) in third San Diego's Tracey Huynh (88-80=168) also winning medals - Poway's Caylie Allen (106-90=196) and Encinita's Lauren Barth (105-93=198).
Straight shooting Huang wins - Boys Silver
San Diego's Franklin Huang (85-75=160) captured Boys Silver Division - Franklin's steady play on day two was the difference - runner up Encintas's Jake LeMons (84-86=170) - finishing third also from Encinitas Johnathon Cassidy (94-78=172) receiving medals - tie for fourth Escondido's Anthony Mena (95-80=175) and Vista's Robert Mitchell (94-81=175).
Cullen Plousha Dominates - Boys Bronze
Carlsbad's Cullen Plousha took his game to another level dominating the Thankgiving Shoot Out with rounds of (77-77=154) his putting and solid all around game was the difference, runner up Poway's Mason Schulze (91-82=173) in third Rancho Santa Fe's Patrick Brown (90-88=178) - earning medals Solano Beach's Noah Henderson (93-87=180) and Oceanside's Erik Delarosa (100-87=187).
Haley Moore celebrates birthday with win - Girls
Escondido's Haley Moore (84-78=162) celebrated her 10th birthday winning the Thanksgiving Shoot Out her steady play earned her the title! Carlsbad's Alana Uriell (92-75=167) played her best round ever on day two to earn runner up honors - in third Rancho Bernardo's Paris Griffith (100-85=185) - winning medals Oceanside's Natalie Vivaldi (102-97=199) and Encinitas's Mollie McInnes (125-106=225).
